About Us
Learn about our history, mission, and the vibrant community we've built in Newfoundland and Labrador
Our Story
The Ghanaian Community Newfoundland and Labrador (GCNL) was founded to create a supportive and vibrant community for Ghanaians living in Newfoundland and Labrador. What started as informal gatherings among a few Ghanaian families has grown into a thriving organization that serves as a cultural anchor and support network.
Our community includes students, professionals, families, and long-time residents who share a common bond through Ghanaian heritage and culture. Together, we've created a space where our traditions are celebrated, our language is spoken, and our values are upheld while embracing life in Newfoundland and Labrador.
